Bryn Mawr Swimming Coach Nikki Whitlock has been named the Centennial Conference Women’s Swimming Coach of the Year, reports the Pottstown Mercury. Whitlock, a Chester County native who graduated from Owen J. Roberts High School in 1986, is the first Bryn Mawr swimming coach to be honored with the award.

As part of an article on the smaller steps colleges are taking to save money, The New York Times reports on a “virtual swim meet,” between Bryn Mawr and Dickinson College, in which each team swam in their home pools and compared times to determine the winners.
