052This semester, Elizabeth Held ’12 is working for USA Today as a Collegiate Correspondent. She’ll be writing one article every week on the USA Today College website.

Her first article, published on Sunday, is about pair of Princeton students who have taken a break from their own studies to start a nonprofit focused on education reform. Her next piece will look at the Clery Act, which requires colleges and universities that participate in federal financial-aid programs to disclose statistics about crime on and near their campuses.

A history major at Haverford, Held spent five semesters working at the Bi-College News. She interned this summer at the Gaston Gazette, in Gastonia North Carolina, and wrote about her experiences there for the “Bryn Mawr Women Go Places in the Summer” blog.

Find out more about Held on her USA Today Collegiate Correspondent Program bio.
