In response to an article about the influence genes have on human behavior, Bryn Mawr Biology Professor Paul Grobstein points out that “Given chance and some architectural characteristics of human brains, there are perfectly good ways to give a meaningful account of free will” and that “there is no reason not to include it as among the things that contribute to our ability to ‘defy our genotypes.'”
