The Bryn Mawr public-service ethic in action? According to a young alumna quoted in this story in The Philadelphia Inquirer, “[a] mix of Bryn Mawr grads and ‘Passyunk Avenue people’ in their 20s and 30s” form the core membership of Philadelphia’s Burger Club, which meets monthly to sample the offerings of burger-serving establishments in the Philadelphia area; its ratings are posted on the Burger Club website. The dining public surely owes these intrepid consumer advocates a debt of gratitude.
