McAuliffe Joins Panel Discussion on Globalization and Higher Education at Council on Foreign Relations

Bryn Mawr President Jane McAuliffe joined several other college and university presidents and foreign-relations experts at a “Working Group on Global Issues” meeting at the Council on Foreign Relations.

The semiannual meeting is sponsored by the Council on Foreign Relations and the Forum for the Future of Higher Education and held at the Council on Foreign Relations’ New York headquarters.

McAuliffe spoke on a panel titled “Globalization and Higher Education: Implications for the Future.”

She was joined on the panel by Joseph E. Aoun, the president of Northeastern University; William Powers Jr., president of the University of Texas at Austin; and John E. Sexton, president of  New York University.

The panel was moderated by Molly Corbett Broad, president of the American Council on Education.

McAuliffe was elected to the Council on Foreign Relations in February of 2009.
