Psychology Professor Clark McCauley Quoted in Associated Press Article on Drug Gangs

mccauleyBryn Mawr Professor of Psychology Clark McCauley is quoted in this Associated Press article about the terrorism employed by Mexican drug gangs.

“These gangs have to keep escalating because they want the shock value but the shock value wears off,” McCauley tells the reporter. “Now, to get a headline you have to get more heads, or more bodies or do something more horrific.”

He is also co-director of the Solomon Asch Center for Study of Ethnopolitical Conflict and founding editor of the journal Dynamics of Asymmetric Conflict.
