Community Forums on Planning for Bryn Mawr’s Future to be Held on Oct. 24, Nov. 4, and Nov. 15

As was mentioned in President Jane McAuliffe’s welcome letter to the community in August, a number of groups, committees and task forces have been engaged in various efforts to identify potential themes and objectives for the future direction of the College and our forthcoming capital campaign.

Now that many of those groups (including the Committee on Academic Priorities and the Task Forces on Alumnae/i Engagement and the Competitive Position of the College) have issued their reports and recommendations to the board of trustees and the president, the Thinking Forward Group and the Campaign Planning Committee invite faculty, students, and staff to share their feedback and opinions on possible plans for the College’s future through a series of community forums.

The forums will include presentations and smaller focus groups and will be held on Monday, Oct. 24, from 2-3:30 p.m.; Friday, Nov. 4, from 10-11:30 a.m.; and on Tuesday, Nov. 15, from 2:30-4 p.m. All forums will be held in Thomas Great Hall. For the most up-to-date information about the forums and to register for a date, please visit the Thinking Forward Group website.

“Imagining Bryn Mawr’s future is an iterative process. Through our planning and piloting, our discussing and debating, our reflective pauses and creative insights, we are forging a culture of innovation that will prove indispensible to meeting the challenges of tomorrow,” says Bryn Mawr President Jane McAuliffe in announcing the forums.
