BMC In The Media: “30 Rock”

In its feature on colleges and universities attended by fictional characters, The Washington Post points out that Tina Fey’s character Liz Lemon on NBC’s “30 Rock” “attended Bryn Mawr College and the University of Maryland ‘on a partial competitive jazz dance scholarship.'”

The “30 Rock” writers continued to show their love (we think) for Bryn Mawr in this season’s finale. It turns out Jenna Maroney (played by Jane Krakowski) performed at the halftime show for the inaugural “Wool Bowl,” in which Bryn Mawr had an 11-2 halftime lead over Hiram College in a game that was apparently full of safeties.

See a snippet of Maroney’s performance at the 2:44 mark of the episode (see the onscreen scoreboard for the Bryn Mawr mention).

Our colleagues at Hiram have more on the game (which, according to Hiram, ultimately didn’t go well for the Owls) on their website.
