Bryn Mawr College Celebrates Earth Day

The student group BMC Greens and the College have planned several events to celebrate Earth Day on Friday, April 22.

Noon – 12:30 p.m.: Representatives from the President’s Sustainability Steering Committee will give a presentation about the College’s Climate Action Plan. They’ll talk about what parts of the plan have already been put into place and what the College needs to do in the future to follow through on the plan.

12:30 – 3 p.m: Earth Day Party on Merion Green in front of the Campus Center. Come out and enjoy sustainable hamburgers provided by Elevation Burger, cake, live music by Jessi Teich, and more. Community members can also help paint a mural for the student garden.

4:15 p.m.: Burial of the 125th Anniversary time capsule and dedication of the Class of 2011 tree at Denbigh Green.
