Students Thank 1,000 New Donors on “Give a Hoot Day”

On this year’s “Give a Hoot Day,” students signed 1,000 thank you cards to send to new donors—doubling last year’s effort.

In addition to the cards, some students expressed their gratitude via video.

Give a Hoot Day symbolically marks the point halfway through the school year when revenue from students’ tuition ceases to support the operational costs of the College and support from donors and other sources takes over in sustaining Bryn Mawr for the remainder of the year. Staffers from the College’s Resources Office spent a day in the Campus Center last week offering students hot chocolate and cookies and collecting their thank-yous to donors.
