Student Blogger to Chronicle Trip to Bangladesh

salas_thumbLast month, we reported that a delegation of Bryn Mawr students and faculty members will travel to Chittagong, Bangladesh, to celebrate groundbreaking for the permanent campus of the Asian University for Women and later to the Bangladeshi capital of Dhaka to attend an international conference where Bryn Mawr President Jane McAuliffe will speak.

Thanks to Bryn Mawr sophomore Jomaira Salas, readers needn’t wait until after the trip to hear a few details. Salas, who is one of the Bryn Mawr delegates, will be blogging about her experience in Bangladesh on Lives of the Mawrters. Salas, who was born in the Dominican Republic but raised in Lynne, Mass., is a Posse scholar and the student coordinator of the College’s partnership with Parkway West High School in West Philadelphia.

You can follow Salas’ blog posts about Bangladesh at http://mawrterlife.blogs.brynmawr.edu/tag/bangladesh/ (or, for those who use RSS readers, subscribe to the feed).
